  1. Education:
    Juris Doctor UCLA Law School, December 1985.  Member of  UCLA Law Review.   B.S. and M.A., University of  Kansas, English/Education.  Graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa.

  2. Law Practice:
    Engaged in private law practice for 23 years since 1986.  Certified as a Family Law Specialist in 2000,  recertified 2006.  Currently in solo practice in Studio City as Law Office of Lynette Berg Robe, since 1990.  Primary area of practice in Family Law, mediation, and collaborative law.

    Associate in Century City law firm of Rutter, O’Sullivan, Green and Hobbs (now Rutter, Hobbs & Davidoff) from 1986-1989.

    Member of Family Law Executive Committee of Los Angeles County Bar Association since 1998, serving as co-chair of the Legislation Committee since 2000, and co-chair of the Special Master/Parenting Plan Coordinator committee 2006-2007.  Co-chair of the Family Law Symposium for 2009.

    Appointed in 2008 to the California State Board of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts.

    Named pro bono attorney of the year by the Harriett Buhai Center for Family Law 1994, 1996, and 2005, and received California State Bar Association President’s Pro Bono Service Award for District Seven in 1999 at the State Bar Convention for service to the Harriett Buhai Center for Family Law

    Served as Chair of the Mulholland Scenic Parkway Design Review Board from 1999 to 2006, an advisory board to the Planning Department of the City of Los Angeles, appointed by City Councilman Michael Feuer in 1998 and by Councilman Jack Weiss in 2002.  Attorney-coach Constitutional Rights Foundation Los Angeles County Mock Trial competition for St. Michael and All Angels’ School 1990-95 and for Marymount High School 1996 and 1997.  School Board St. Michael and All Angels’ School, 1990-1993 and 1985-1988. President Briarcliff Improvement Association, local homeowners’ association, 1998-2004.

  7. Personal:
    Native Californian, born in Palm Springs, California.  Father a career Air Force officer; lived all over the United States, Japan, and Guam.  Stationed in Topeka, Kansas, during high school, and attended college and graduate school at the University of Kansas.   Married to Mike Robe, a television director-writer-producer.  Two grown children, Mitchell, a composer, and Blythe, a writer.
